The Reception class at Grange Infants School, visited the local Fire Station for a special tour and valuable lessons in fire safety.
As part of understanding different jobs in the community, the class carefully walked to the station in pairs and safely crossed the roads. They got to see inside a fire engine and learnt about what equipment was needed for fires, floods and car accidents. They got to hear the different alarms and sirens, fired a hose and even got some adults to dress up in the different outfits that fire-fighters wear. They also learnt that in a fire, you should; ‘Get out, stay out and call 999’.
Thank you very much to Stratton Fire Station for an enjoyable, educational visit!
